After Giorgio Finetti (AKA Jofi) delighted me with a piece of music that was ideal for my poem “Clouds of Paris” (which quickly morphed into the song “We Two Gypsy Thieves), I told him we couldn’t stop now.
In a few days he sent me another recording, which, on flipping through my poems, turned out to be perfect for my poem “My Desk, My Planet,” about a dispute I’d had with my husband as to which furniture purchases were top priority for our empty new apartment. The words had to be tweaked a little to fit, but not much.
Giorgio, I thank you, and my desk thanks you!
I can imagine your desk and you composing a music on it…
Giorgio
