First Nations Canadian Wins Mrs. Universe
In spite of not being a fan of beauty pageants I’m incredibly pleased that Ashley Burnham, Canadian First Nations, just won Mrs. Universe 2015! I was privileged to have interviewed her three years ago in connection with her role on BLACKSTONE (http://www.voicemagazine.org/articles/articledisplay.php…), and was blown away by her courage, strength, intelligence, and social activism.
