“I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear. ”
– Martin Luther King, Jr.
Marc Vella is a French classical pianist and a composer who, for the last two decades, has traveled with a baby grand piano in a bus across more than forty countries, giving impromptu performances for locals and inviting local musicians to join him. His mission is to share love and to celebrate humanity as part of the International Decade for the Promotion of a Culture of Peace and Non-Violence for the Children of the World, coordinated by UNESCO. (See the Voice review of the documentary film Piano in the Sands here.) Recently he took the time to answer Wanda Waterman’s questions about what brought him to his remarkable journey.
